My name is Alex and I am a Software Engineer who has a passion for Gameplay Engineering. I earned my Masters Degree of Science for Interactive Media at Florida's Interactive Entertainment Academy (FIEA), under the Programming track.

ACTION/ADVENTURE GAME

Software Engineering Lead

Starboard is a first-person, action/adventure game filled with nail-biting fights, daring escapes, and stylish parkour. Use a magic tether to swing and launch yourself through space like an acrobat or throw enemies and objects to turn the tide in battle. Wall-run, slide, and leap to elude foes, and bust out your trusty sword to attack head-on. Become Cillian Cade, a pirate thief who’s in over his head after a heist gone wrong. After he steals a magical gauntlet possessed by the spirit of a dead pirate lord, the duo sets out to find an ancient treasure vault. Along the way, they’ll have to outwit and outplay the crew of a malicious pirate captain who wants the treasure all for himself.

C++ PROJECT

Programmer

This project is 2 projects in one, the first one was a semester long assignment during graduate school at FIEA where I was tasked to create a game engine completely from scratch using C++ and JSON parsing.

The second project was a group project of 9 total programmers, including me, where we recreated almost the entirety of the Ribby and Croaks boss fight in a little under two weeks using a conglomerated version of our game engines.

Online Multiplayer Horror Game

Programmer / Project Manager

Queries Unlimited is an online multiplayer co-op horror game about investigating a procedurally generated haunted mansion and, with the help of your friends and some tools, banishing the ghost that resides within it. The game uses the Client/Server (Listen Server) model in Unreal Engine.
